Summer Show

The following categories are open to all adults and children. You will find rules for all of the categories below.

10 · Loaf cake
This can be made to any recipe but must be one of the following types: Chocolate, lemon, blueberry or fruit.

Cakes will be judged on appearance and taste.

11 · Jar of Jam or Chutney
Any flavour of jam or chutney. Must be home made and labelled with date made. Feel free to decorate jar/label but judged on taste not appearance.

12 · International Dish
Make an international dish-any dish that comes from outside of the UK. Dish needs to be labelled with name of dish and country of origin. Must be able to be eaten cold.

13 · Salted caramel chocolate brownies
This is our technical challenge for this year and HAS to be made according to the recipe on the next page. Present on plain white plate

14 · Floral display
Any flowers/leaves/herbs you have grown yourself. Bring your own jam jar to display. Displays must be put together on day of competition in Lythgoe Hall.

15 · Craft
Anything home made. Could be knitting, crochet. origami, sewing, quilting……

16 · Alice in Wonderland
A one off special category for this year only. FoG have very kindly donated a beautiful Alice in Wonderland themed prize. For your chance to win this very special item read on…
Create your entry using any of the skills required for the summer show. You could have an Alice in Wonderland themed miniature garden, a batch of Queen of Hearts jam tarts, a drawing of your favourite character from the book, a themed cake etc. etc. Present it in any way you like. Make it special but make sure it’s not late, late, for a very important date. June 18th.
